About
From a pop-up to a counter
Sip Well began as a mobile soda bar. A recurring slot at GastroPark in West Hartford, and a vendor table at card shows around Connecticut and up through New England — setting the bases and the syrup wall up on a folding table and building drinks to order in front of whoever walked past.
On September 1, 2026 it became a permanent counter at 386 Main Street, inside Main Street Market in downtown Middletown. The mobile bar carries on alongside it.
The menu
Half of what we make is prebiotic
Most dirty soda is soda, syrup and cream, and we make that — Dr. J, Fancy Nancy and Sun and Moon are exactly what the name promises.
But seven of our fourteen drinks are built on prebiotic soda and tea instead: Olipop, Poppi, Bloom and Halfday. Four more are Refreshers on coconut water or sparkling water with no soda in them at all. That was a deliberate choice rather than an afterthought, and it is the part of the menu we are proudest of.
It also means there is something here for the person who came in with friends but does not want a full-sugar soda — which, in our experience of doing this on the road, is most groups.
Middletown
The first one in the county
Dirty soda reached Connecticut in the middle of 2025 and shops have been opening ever since — in Oxford, Guilford, Plainville, Brookfield, Naugatuck. None of them in Middlesex County.
Before we opened, someone in Middletown searching for a dirty soda was pointed twenty miles up the road to Plainville, or thirty-six according to Yelp. Now it is on Main Street.

Where our customers come from
